الاستحواذ على شركة السيارات ذاتية القيادة NuTonomy بمبلغ 400 مليون دولار
أعلنت شركة Delphi عملاقة صناعة مكونات وقطع تبديل السيارات عن استحواذها على الشركة الناشئة الأمريكية المتخصصة في مجال السيارات ذاتية القيادة NuTonomy بصفقة بلغت قيمتها 400 مليون دولار بالإضافة إلى تعويضات إضافية بقيمة 50 مليون دولار في حال تحققت شروط وأرباح معينة بعد اتمام الاستحواذ.
بهذا تريد Delphi التوجه لسوق جديد ومنافسة الكبار بهذا المجال لاسيما الشركات التقنية وليست الميكانيكية مثل أوبر و Waymo من قوقل.
واستعرضت شركة Delphi تقنياتها للسيارات ذاتية القيادة خلال السنوات الثلاث الماضية وأدخلت عليها عدة تطويرات. في حين أن NuTonomy تختبر خدمة تكسي بدون سائق منذ العام الماضي.
تأتي هذه الصفقة ضمن سياق توجه الشركات المصنعة للسيارات وقطعها وتقنياتها للاستثمار في الشركات الناشئة المهتمة بهذا المجال.
وسينضم أكثر من 100 موظف بينهم 70 مهندس وعالم ليعمل مع أكثر من 100 موظف من Delphi في مجال السيارات ذاتية القيادة. وحصلت Delphi على تراخيص بوضع أكثر من 60 سيارة ذاتية القيادة على طرقات عدة دول تعمل بها.
The giant automotive parts and parts maker, Delphi, has announced that it has acquired the US start-up company NuTonomy, with a $ 400 million deal, plus additional compensation of $ 50 million if certain terms and profits are met after completion of the acquisition.
This is why Delphi wants to target a new market and compete with adults in this field, especially technology companies, not mechanical ones such as Ober and Waymo of Google.
Delphi has reviewed its self-driving vehicles over the past three years and has introduced several upgrades. While NuTonomy has been testing the driverless taxi service since last year.
The deal comes in the context of the direction of car manufacturers and parts and technologies to invest in start-ups interested in this area.
More than 100 employees, including 70 engineers and a scientist, will join more than 100 Delphi employees in self-driving cars. Delphi has obtained licenses for more than 60 self-propelled vehicles on the roads of several countries.
