نشر موقع Bloomberg تقريرًا خطيرًا يؤكد تعرض شركتي أمازون وآبل لاختراق سيرفراتهما عبر رقاقات صغيرة مثبتة بداخلها وضعت أثناء تصنيعها في الصين، وهي السيرفرات التي تشرف شركة Super Micro المختصة في هذا المجال على تطويرها.
وبحسب الموقع، فإن رقاقة صغيرة بحجم حبة الأرز تم صناعتها وتثبيتها على سيرفرات شركة Super Micro، لكن هذه الرقاقة قادرة على تسريب البيانات الموجودة على السيرفرات بشكل كامل، وهذه السيرفرات تستخدمها شركتي آبل وأمازون كمراكز بيانات للمستخدمين والخدمات مثل AWS، بجانب 30 شركة أمريكية أخرى.
وذكر التقرير أيضًا أن هذه الرقاقات الصغيرة تم إيجادها في السيرفرات التي تطورها Super Micro وقد تم وضعها داخل مصانع الشركة في الصين وبشكل سري قبل أن يتم اكتشافها في 2015 عند فحصها بواسطة شركة كندية، وهو الوقت التي قامت فيه أمازون وآبل بشراء السيرفرات، لكن الأمر ظل سرًا حتى اليوم.
وبالرغم من تقرير الموقع عالي المصداقية، فإن آبل قامت بنفي الأمر رفقة أمازون، كما هو الحال مع بيان الحكومة الصينية التي قال الموقع أنها تقف خلف ذلك الأمر، وكذلك نفت شركة Super Micro ذلك بالرغم من أنها تقف تحت المسائلات القانونية منذ فترة لاشتباه حدوث هذا الأمر.
وقالت الحكومة الصينية في ردها على الموضوع، أنها ملتزمة بالوقوف ضد هذه الأمور وتعمل بكل جد وكد لتحول بينها، وتحدثت عن مخاطر تتعرض لها هي الأخرى من عمليات التجسس، كما أكدت على التزامها بتعهدها التي قدمته في الأمم المتحدة في 2011 لمحاربة التجسس.
وبعد تقرير Bloomberg، هبطت أسهم Super Micro أكثر من 50% من قيمتها لتشكل ضربة قوية للشركة التي عبرت عن انفتاحها لأي تحقيقات بشأن الاختراق الكبير.

In response, the Chinese government said it was committed to standing against these issues and was working hard to change them. It also spoke about the dangers of espionage and confirmed its commitment to the United Nations promise to fight espionage in 2011.
After the Bloomberg report, Super Micro shares fell more than 50% of their value to form a major blow to the company, which has expressed its openness to any investigations into the major breakthrough.
